A wonderful large vase, c1901, by "le Poete de Grés" from his period at Armentières near Beauvais. At this time Delaherche, having achieved many accolades for his innovative design in the Art Nouveau movement, was experimenting with glazes on stoneware in the manner of the traditional Beauvais potters. His work may be considered similar in objective and output to that of William Howson Taylor undertaken arounf the same time at the Ruskin Pottery in England.
The vase is impressed with the artist's name and the number 6549.
Guaranteed in perfect condition, no restoration or damage.
